SALT vs. VoiceXML
Have you ever used SALT or VoiceXML in your proramming? For what type of application?
Do you think one has more staying power than the other? Does this article
adequately cover the costs and benefits and of each?

i studied both VXML and SALT. I have used VXML for voice portal and i found
that SALT provides tag for combining the controls on a web page to speech,
So that the user can easily enter the values etc.
whereas VXML allows to develop the applications independent of a web page
for eg. a voice portal. but disadvantage of VXML is it does not allow anything
to combine control and speech
I would have been happier to see more of SALT examples and some indepth knowledge
of how different kind of applications can be written using SALT.
