Dean: I wrote a VB.NET app (Mabry's NNTP control does all the heavy lifting)
that simply cancels the original post and posts a duplicate to the desired
    newsgroup.

Trouble is, at least half of the time, the news server's anti-spam filter
recognizes the new post as a duplicate and filters it out, so I have to
manually create a slightly altered version in the post in the new group.

I'd also like to enhance the app to support the moving of entire threads,
but it's a lot of work, and low priority on my list of things to do. ;-)

hmmmmm, cunning idea. I may try that, but my news server doesn't have many posts ( 24!

Dean: Well, I suppose I could post the code, but I really don't want to make
it easy for just anyone to start moving and deleting posts. ;-)

I guess authentication is done by the client (checking it was sent from the current email address in OE anyway )
Surely the server does some validation?

Tell me if im giving away too much info )
