    Timer Intervals

    [Originally posted by veetian]

    Hello all,

    This is what I need:

    For every processes I the computer performed an interval is inserted to let the user see the result. The interval is measured by seconds.

    I tried to use the Timer function and a While...Do loop (By adding the interval value to the timer value, and comparing it in the where loop):

    Dim startTime, endTime As Variant
    startTime = Timer
    endTime = Timer + intervalValue
    'The problem lies here, the value of endTime
    'after addition is still the same with startTime

    While startTime < endTime
    startTime = Timer
    Wend

    The above code doesn't work at all... then I tried to compare two times using Date variable (TimeSerial function to add to the startTime, and comparing them in a while...do loop), but it still doesn't work...

    anybody any ideas?

    regards,
    veetian

    I do not have any idea for this method, but I suggest you to user another timer while controls the interval of the first timer, then by making the .Enable property of first timer to false, the first timer won't work.

    If not solved inform me by email.
