Small install for app that can open Access 2000 & DBF files?

I'd like to design a VB6 app that can open Access 97 files, Access 2000 files,
    and DBF files.

ADO seems to handle this nicely.... *Except* that the resulting setup package
spans about 8 floppies due mainly to the fact that mdac_typ.exe is part of
    the suggested install.

Any ideas on how to make an app that has the above functionality, but with
    a very small installation???

    Thanks...

Use a CD instead of floppies? Another option would be to ask the users
to install MDAC separately (you could still distribute it) so that future
releases would only contain your program?
