connecting to a database on another machine

I need to connect to an Access DB that is not on the same machine the ASP
file is on. Is there anything special that I need to do to get a connection?
    Is this even possible?

If there is a network path to it then I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to open it from
    your application.
