    Video Game Poll

This might seem like a strange poll but please humor me for a moment....

    1) How many video game systems* (Atari, Coleco, Nintendo, Sega, Playstation,
XBox, etc....) have you bought (or received as a gift) during your lifetime?

    2) If you answered 1 or more to the first question, do you still play console
    video games*?

    3) Overall, do you like Microsoft's direction with .NET?

    * For the purposes of this poll, I'm differentiating between video games
and computer games. Video games are games played on a console system specifically
designed for playing games. Examples....NES, Sega Genesis, 3DO, Sony PlayStation,
XBox, etc. I do *not* mean computer games that are played on a PC or Macintosh.

I had a Sega MegaDrive (Genesis in the USA) for a few months, got bored with
    that blue hedgehog, sold it.

    Le'see... Pong, ColecoVision, Atari 2600 & 5200, Space Invaders*, Pac-Man*,
NES & SNES, Sega Genesis, Sony PS1 & PS2, and XBox. That's twelve if I
    counted correctly.

Yes indeed. What kinda connection are ya tryin' to make here, chief?

Five (NES, SNES, PSX, PS2, and Xbox). Only bought the last two, though.

    > 2) If you answered 1 or more to the first question, do you still play

    Yeah.
I bought two consoles for myself in the last year (and if I weren't an FF
nut, I'd be kicking myself for buying the PS2 before Sony and Microsoft cut
prices this spring). And I'll probably pick up a GameCube later this year or
    early next year.

    > 3) Overall, do you like Microsoft's direction with .NET?

    Yup.

    1 SuperNES

Not since my kids shorted out the SuperNES by dropping pennys in it... about
    4 - 5 years ago.

    Sure do.

Yes. As a matter of fact i have a tendency of buying entrely way too many
games. More than i have time to play enough to get my moneys worth.

    >3) Overall, do you like Microsoft's direction with .NET?

No. Just to make sure i am very clear on that "No, i don't like, don't support
and don't intend to like or support Microsoft's direction with .Net"

In part. Many of the things about it are interesting and look like they will
help productivity. Others seem to be a backward step.

Which .NET?? I'll presume you mean VS.NET, not all the .NET server/anything
    else/tie-in marketing crud...

    If so....yes

Still don't see the difference....PC games are, if anything, better than
    console stuff ('cept maybe Halo)

Dunno why I should, but let's give it a go!

I answered zero, but I just thought I should clarify that: I never
played a console video game ever. They all bore me to tears.

    >3) Overall, do you like Microsoft's direction with .NET?

No. Sorry, I'll need to clarify that a bit, too. NO!!

    I don't play them either.

hey mike, if you have never played a console video game, how do you know
    they bore you to tears?
