    animated gifs stop unexpectedly

    Hi

    I've some animated gifs that are used as links to bring up popup windows.
    However, when the pop ups are activated, the gifs stop running, and then
    don't run when the pop up window is closed unless the page is reloaded.
    My site is www.indiagreet.com. You can click on the Travel Desk link to see
    that the Archies gif at the bottom of the page will stop or go down to the
    headlines sections and click on any of those to see the Archies gif stopped.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bhavna

    I looked at your code and couldn't find anything wrong. But my guess is that
    the javaScript is stopping
    the current page before opening the second. If you use target="_new" instead
    of
    javascriptpenwindow() the current page loses focus but continues to run.
    I tried it out with this code.
    See for your self.

    <a href="javascriptpenwindow('http://www.timesofindia.com/today/25home1.htm
    ')">click for javascript</a><br>
    <a href="http://www.timesofindia.com/today/25home1.htm" target="_new">click
    for target _new</a>
    <BR>
    <IMG SRC="xmasbanner.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="">

    The downside is that it looks like you have used javascriptpenwindow()
    throughout your site. It might
    be a lot of work for a small detail.

    I hope that helps.
