Can you explain me what are the advantages to use functions JAVASCRIPT and
functions in language PHP

PHP is a server-side language. JavaScript is both server-side capable but is
also the primary client-side scripting language.

If you need to create functions on the client-side then you need JavaScript.
Using PHP also depends on the OS you are running.
