    Database Question

Okay here goes again... BTW: Thanks to all for your previous answers.

Here is what I have to do...
    1. User opens the Web Browser
    2. User navigates to a Page

    Page Needs To Do:
    1. Access a DB (Access for now, Oracle in the near future) on a web server
    2. Read the DB getting all Employees who meet a criteria
    3. Load a ComboBox on the Client with these names.

    4. User selects a name

    5. Read the web server DB and return all Employees reporting to the selected
Employee in the first ComboBox and display them in a second ComboBox

    6. User selects a name

    7. Read the web server DB and display the results in a grid...

I know how to repopulate the ComboBoxes (from a previous post), but I can
not seem to figure out how to access the remote web server DB. I've looked
at a few samples, but nothing seems to work... If only I could write this
app in VB and not for the web...

    JK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If any of you could recommend a GOOD
book that covers this type of information, that would be even greater appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Brent

I had similar problems moving from VB to web. Check out SAMS Visual
Interdev 6 in 24 Hours (assuming you're using Visual Interdev). I found I
was up to speed very quickly from this book.

    Hope that helps.
