Bill,
> I told you I was new to this
I worked my way through the examples in Microsoft's documentation and
found them quite helpful.
This URL goes on one line in your browser:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/devprods/vs6/vbasic/
vbcon98/vbmscStepIntoAccessingData.htm
After studying the MS documentation, if I still don't think I
understand very well, I usually go buy a 3'rd party book.

Re: kathleen ..
Bill,
Martin may be more in sync with what you are doing. Are you doing this in
Access, or in VB using Access as a back end? If the first, you might want to
ask further questions in vb.vba, or request an Access focused section in
talk.editors.
If you are using Access as a backend, then ask again and I'll keep trying to
help.
Martin does make a really good point (although I don't think it is a problem
with the Access wizard). You should probably look at this as either a PC
with various peripherals and software, or a list of software and PC's that
use it, but not both on a single screen.
