VB books that discuss what is really required to do VB development?
I know what the response to my question will already be, however, I thought
that I would ask anyways. I am looking for some "womb-to-tomb" VB related
books that cover aspects that go way beyond how to write VB code. Are there
any books that talk about what professional VB development is really like
in the "real world". They don't necessarily have to cover team related topics.
Also, I am looking for VB related books that cover diverse topics such as
source code control, setup and installation, requirements analysis. Any recommendations?

Re: VB books that discuss what is really required to do VB development?
The answer would depend on what you want to do with VB. For example, if you
are interested in using VB to interface with databases, a common usage,
there are a number of books that discuss just that area. (Beginning Visual
Basic Database Programming by John Connell is one of them.) VB is also used
to create web applications and also to create Com components. All of these
fields are very popular uses for VB and there are several books that address
using VB in these fields. So the trick would be to go beyond the standard
'how to use VB' books and concentrate on resources in your area of interest.

Two books to look at: "Read Visual Basic" and "Advanced MS VB 6".
Read reviews of them on the books page at
