    Setting References

    Hi,
Is there any way that I can make sure that the proper references are set
in Ms-Access without have to go into code and going to tools and references.
This would be handy when I'm sending a solution by email. Its awkard asking
the user to set up references.
Also sometimes when I have set up toolbars if I send it to another pc Ms-
Access looses the toolbar and I have to create it all over again.

If you can help me out on either of the above I'd really appreciate it!

    Thanks for any help

    Gill

Yes, there is a 'references' collection that can be accessed in a VBA module
in MS Access...and as long at the file or GUID is located on the client it
should work fine...although I'd put some error handling in there anyway.

You can access it by simply typing 'references' in a function...intellisense
will bring up the options for it...

    Public Function set_references()
    References.AddFromFile "c:\WINNT\System32\cdosys.dll"
    End Function

    Something like the above...

I had to do this one time b/c putting the reference in the MDB permanently
cause errors when opening one of the forms in Access...I forget why...but
I discovered this capability and added/removing my reference on form_load/unload
    events.
