    Large Amounts of Text

I heard somewhere that if you load more then 100kb or so of text in a browser
that it will crash because it is to much for the HTML parser.

Is there any truth to this? If so where can I find some documentation on
    it?

    Thanks
    Wes

Whether it's true or not, you should consider the end users. Why would you
*want* to create a 100K document? Whether they load it from the Web or from
a local file, it will take a long time to parse, and it will be irritating
to use. You're much better off creating smaller documents.

As far as the limitations, you should perform this test. To test the
limitations for any given browser (on a specific machine), create an HTML
file, and then duplicate the contents inside the <body> tag until the file
is as big as you like. Load it into your browser. If you perform this test
yourself then my starting comment will make more sense to you.
