from what i've read (admittedly my Java experience = NULL) Java is a simplistic
C++, with some powerful options like pointers taken away (and of course the
ability to make applets). Having used C++ for a while, i'm going to try
to learn Java now. It makes sense to me that learning Java first (for a
beginning programmer) would be a good way to move into C++. Either way,
if you learn one, the other will be darned easy to add to your repertoire.
