    Drive not recognised

    I Hope you can Please help me with this as I am at my wits end

    I am trying to us ASP to write to a file , Everything works well if I write
    to a Local File or a Pc that is in its own Workgroup but when I try to save
    to a file that sits on a Domain I get a messgae saying that I do not have
    permissions , (Although I can see and save to the Folder with anything
    else)

    The last thing I tried was to see if I could see the drives and the result
    tells me that the Drives are not ready

    Have you any Ideas

    here is the part of the Script I run and the Result :-

    ======================================================================

    Dim fso, d, dc, s, n
    Set fso = server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    Set dc = fso.Drives

    For Each d in dc

    if d.DriveType = 0 then t = "Unknown"
    if d.DriveType = 1 then t = "Removable"
    if d.DriveType = 2 then t = "Fixed"
    if d.DriveType = 3 then t = "Network"
    if d.DriveType = 5 then t = "RAM Disk"

    s = "Drive " + d.DriveLetter + ": - " + t

    response.write "===================================<BR"

    if (d.IsReady) then
    response.write (s & " Drive is Ready.<BR")
    else
    response.write (s & " Drive is Not Ready.<BR")
    end if

    response.write "===================================<BR"

    Next

    ======================================================================
    The results say that K - Drive is Not Ready.

    Drive K is the name of the Share that I have set on the Internet PC

    I would apprieciate any help !!!

    Many Thanks
    Kevin

    Re: Drive not recognised

    you have permissions - but your not trying to access the drives, the web
    account is ....

    As a start - Try setting a map in MMC to be a virtual directory and see if
    that works.
