    chage dinamically. I mean it is not a fixed password...
    For example..

    How can i Pass a variable that contais the actual password to PWD on the
    following example.In this case it hav it fixed (abc), but if it changes dinamically,
    how can i pass the value to PWD???
    <%
    strconn="DRIVER=Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb);UID=admin;PWD=abc;DBQ="&
    Server.MapPath("Cont.mdb")

    ' End of Automatic DataConnection

    set conn = server.createobject("adodb.connection")
    set rs = server.createobject("adodb.recordset")

    Thanks a lot !!!

    Hi again Marb,
    If the password is known to a group of people then you could have a simple
    asp login that passes the password to the connection string on the connection
    page.
    for example:

    <%
    password = TRIM(Request.form("password"))
    %>

    <%
    strconn="DRIVER=Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb);UID=admin;PWD="
    strconn = strconn & password & ";DBQ=" & Server.MapPath("Cont.mdb")
    %>

    Hellow simon:
    Thanks for your answer.
    My trouble is that i just dont like to pass password on a Conection String.
    If i Would do it that way, i just have to pass certain characters that i
    could recognize as a password, just for dont show the real password on the
    Browser Address bar.
    So , trhe mmater is in fact, that i dont like to pass the password by using
    Conection Strings, but Request.Form or something like taht could be.
    Thanks Again..

    I think that you may be getting Connection Strings and Query Strings mixed
    up with each other.
    When you pass a password in a connection string it will not be seen in the
    browsers status bar.

    I tried using conection ēstrings, but when i writed PWD="strconn=strconn
    &password&" the ASP parser send me an eerror saying thata a insttruccion
    is spected or bad paasword for accesing the database..so i get a little
    mess over here.
